Valentine is not a day we celebrate that much so when my hubby brought in a cute little what-not that says "I love you this much" with arms stretched wide I was surprised. LOVE is so important that I ask the preacher at our wedding to read the Love chapter in the Bible in the book of Corinthians, on our 25th anniversary this past year(2012)April, I got an afghan that had this verse on it and was so happy to find it for us.
thanks for sharing on your blog, hope your Valentine day is a special one.

My best Valentines' Day was when I was 18 years old. Valentine's Day was on a Sunday that year and my parents were very strict about not playing with my friends on Sunday's. There was a guy I really liked and he called me on Valentine's Day and invited me to get an ice cream sundae. I begged my parents to let me go and they finally gave in (it was like 6:30 or 7 pm). To make a long story short, he kissed me for the first time that night. It was my first kiss ever on Valentine's Day. It was very romantic, even for an 18 year old.
My best Valentines was in 2004. I was single and asked my daughters to be my Valentine. So we went to a movie, "50 First Dates"...I got all teary because I wanted to be loved that much. Then I looked at my girls and realized that I had three of them already. We decided to go to Subway for dinner (we're fancy that way) and when we were leaving, I looked at them and said, "Dinner, movie, great company...if there was a good night kiss this would be a perfect date!" My youngest walked over and kissed my cheek. We had fun the entire time and it was just the best Valentine's Day ever...nothing against my husband, I'm grateful to be his Valentine...grateful he is mine...but that was my best Valentine's EVER.
My favorite valentine's would have to be the first one after my fiancee and I got together. I'd had a few relationships before but nothing as serious as this. I decided to go all out and buy flowers, candy and cook her dinner. It was a beautiful day and it is still one of my favorite memories.

I guess my favorite Valentine's days tend to revolve around my nieces & nephews. Although I have dated different guys & had some good holiday's, since I am still single none have worked out. However, all the days that I spend with my nieces & nephews have great memories and that won't change :)
