No, not bookcases, but CASES for my books! My husband loves to work with wood, and he built me some cases for my books, which now sit on my piano.
What do you think? They're beautiful, aren't they? And, if you are a writer, you know how important things like this are to help showcase our books.
(ignore the dates on the pics. I don't set my date on my camera. lol)
If any writers would like one (or more) for their books, let me know. My hubby will happily make them for you!! Send me your email.

that's awesome! tell him i think he's cool...i want to learn how to make stuff with wood...
I will tell him that, Connie! He is really good at this. I should take a pic of the knick-knack shelf he made my younger daughter...and the toy boxes (with book shelves) he made our grandkids.

That is quite a hubby you got there, Marie. That's really sweet, and those bookshelves are gorgeous. He's definitely got a talent. Methinks he's a keeper. ;)
Joanne, I think so, too.

How beautiful and so thoughtful. :)
These are absolutely gorgeous! What a talented man. I bet if you showed these off at conference, he'd be booked solid into the next century. :-)
Those are great. I have all my books on holders over my desk. It's nice that hubby is showing his support. Contrats, my friend.
Very Cool!!
Thanks, Beth, Ginger, and Stacey. And Maeve...what a great idea!!

Marie, they're BEAUTIFUL. You're lucky to have such a great hubby.
Beautiful! What a sweet husband to do this for you. Um, you do know he could sell these at writer conferences, etc., right?
Oh Marie! they are gorgeous! Any chance he's looking to go into business making them? They are incredible! You are so lucky, lady!
Those are 'so bu-ti-ful' as my granddaughter would say. What a wonderful present from your hubby!
Thanks, Sloane, Regan, and Anna Kathryn. And Ashley, I think he could make a bunch and I could take them to a writer's conference. That would be a gread idea!

Those are beautiful, Marie. I'm thinking he could have a unique product going there.
I think those are awesome! Right now my books are ebooks, but those are something I would love to have once I make it into print.
Those are great! How lucky you are!
What a thoughtful idea. A clever and loving husband you have.
Thanks, Diane, Nicole, Vicki, and Leigh. My book in these cases sure look like a million bucks now! (grins)

That's great. I have mine on my office wall. Proves to me I have had a small measure of success.
Wow Marie,
They look wonderful. Clever man your hubby. Can I have him? Mine is useless at wood work even though his father was a carpenter.
cheers

Thanks Margaret and Caroline! My husband loves to work with wood. Just yesterday he finished another project. He made a little seat/bench for the grandkids, and in the seat (it lifts up) is where they can keep their books. How clever! The kids love it!
