I GOT A CONTRACT!!

I'm thrilled to announce a Christian publisher here in Utah - Walnut Springs Press - has offered me a contract for my historical romance, Heart Of A Hero. I will meet with them next week to go over the contract and my marketing plans. I can tell you right now...I plan on having many book signings from date of publication until Christmas...and longer if necessary. I'll announce here and on Facebook when and where I'll be!

I thank the Lord for giving me this chance to entertain people who love to read. It's what I've wanted to do for so long, and now...MY DREAM HAS COME TRUE!!!

This is what my story is about -

The West has bandits, rattlers, and sagebrush galore… Richfield, Utah has Jesse and Summer, the town’s newest and most hard-headed heroes.

When Summer Bennett returns home after five years of etiquette school for young ladies, she discovers her father has been injured and cannot walk. Gotta get money…fast, for his operation. The reward money for capturing outlaws is the only way, and etiquette falls by the dusty roadside. Yet Jesse, the town’s hero, is always trying to thwart her plans – just like when she was young. She'd like nothing more than to use his head for a slingshot target, but as her heart warms toward him her aim shifts from his head to his heart.

For thirteen years, little Summer was the burr under the Deputy Marshal’s saddle. Now Jesse Slade feels a different irritation. She’s on his mind even while searching for outlaws. As much as he’d like to ignore the newfound feelings he has around her, he wonders if the Lord is telling him she’s the one… Funny, because Jesse had always wanted to tie her to the outhouse before.

Marie! This is so exciting, and I love the premise of your book. All I have to say is that I hope *your* heroine doesn't ever meet *my* heroine, or else *my* heroine will be in deep doodoo! LOL!

I'm so happy for you, though! I know you've worked so hard for this, so many, many congratulations!!

Congratulations, Marie!!!! I can absolutely relate to your story - after writing and publishing four romances in the secular market, I really wanted to shift my heart and talents to Christian Inspy. I have done so with White Rose Publishing - and like you, it's a dream come true! I'm so excited for you because I know exactly how you feel! Blessings, and I can't wait to read Heart of a Hero. I'm also a 'follower' now. :-)

Marie,
I am so very happy that you've finally seen a dream come true with your writing. I think we both knew it was coming...it's just the wait that kills us. Best of luck, and don't forget me when you're popular and appearing on Oprah. :)
